Why the explosion in interest? Large Language Models (LLMs) like GPT-4 and others have unlocked capabilities we only dreamed of a few years ago. But harnessing their full power isn’t automatic – it takes skillful prompting. Prompt engineering is essentially the art of communicating with AI to get the results you want. In practice, it feels like a bridge between human intent and machine understanding (datacamp.com). Instead of writing code, you “program” the AI with natural language instructions. When done right, the AI’s output can be astoundingly accurate and useful; done poorly, it can be irrelevant or incorrect.
